Aim and Scope

Journal of Accessible Education & Recreation (JAER) is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal that places accessibility, inclusion, and equity in education and sport at its core. The journal aims to publish research that supports the equal and effective participation of all individuals in education, learning, and sport involvement processes. In addition, it welcomes studies addressing the accessibility and societal impacts of recreation, physical activity, and sport practices associated with education.

JAER is open to both theoretical and applied research and particularly welcomes studies contributing to the following areas:

• Inclusive education, recreation, and sport programs for individuals with special needs

• Accessibility strategies and policies in educational and sport settings

• Evaluation of pedagogical approaches, training models, and instructional technologies in terms of inclusion

• Psychological, social, and cognitive effects of education, recreation, and sport programs

• Social justice, equity, and inclusive leadership practices

• Accessibility of digital and physical learning, recreation, and sport environments

The journal aims to enhance inclusion across education, recreation, and sport by promoting scientific knowledge exchange among academics, educators, coaches, researchers, and practitioners.
